Liberal Leader Darrin Lamoureux Announces Candidacy in Saskatoon Meewasin By-Election

SASKATOON – Saskatchewan Liberal Leader Darrin Lamoureux has announced his candidacy for the upcoming provincial by-election in the constituency of Saskatoon Meewasin.

“This by-election isn’t about a change in government. Saskatoon Meewasin constituents have a choice – to elect one more backbench Sask Party MLA, another ineffective NDP MLA, or to elect a strong voice who will hold the Sask Party government accountable and provide effective opposition in the legislature,” said Lamoureux, “I want to be there working for the constituents of Saskatoon Meewasin, and for all Saskatchewan residents.”

At a local campaign launch with supporters, Darrin Lamoureux was joined by brother Kevin Lamoureux, Member of Parliament for Winnipeg North, Parliamentary Secretary for the House Leader, and award winner of Maclean’s magazine “Most Knowledgeable MP in 2016”, and Kevin’s daughter, Cindy Lamoureux, the newly elected Liberal MLA in the Manitoba Legislature.
