My Name is Orrin Murray Greyeyes. I was raised on the Muskeg Lake Cree Nation. I come from a very large family of 15 Siblings (10 brothers, 5 sisters), and am currently married with 6 children and 1 grandchild. My Mother Jean Pratt (Daughter of Agnes Pratt, -nee Ahenakew) hailed from the Ahtahkakoop First Nation and my Father Ralph Greyeyes from Muskeg Lake Cree Nation. I graduated Grade 12 at Marcelin High School in 1983, later attending Moose Jaw’s Technical College enrolled in the M.VM.R. Program, then joined the R.CM.P. Special Constable Program in 1986.
Since 1992 I have been an entrepreneur owning and operating companies in the security, safety, construction and consulting fields. I have also had a political career, from 2009 to 2015, as the Urban Councilor for the Muskeg Lake Cree Nation (while sitting on numerous boards and committees.) Additionally, I was also a candidate for the F.S.I.N. Vice–Chief positions in 1999, 2002, 2010, and 2012. My favourite past time over the years has been watching my children in sports and in their everyday trials and tribulations.
I have decided to run in this election for the simple fact that the political landscape in Saskatchewan needs positive change. Change that will bring us together and move us forward with no hidden agenda, and being pro-active with a clear strategic plan on Saskatchewan’s future as a whole.
